Reimagining New York’s Domino Sugar Plant

The Domino Sugar plant has been an architectural landmark in Brooklyn, NYC for over a century and has played an important role in the city’s overall landscape. Now, this landmark building is going to take on a whole new life as mixed use complex that will offer affordable housing as well as a business center for the world’s most advanced and exciting companies. It’s no surprise that Two Trees, one of the best real estate developers in the business, is taking over the project and they turned to ZUM3D to fulfill their need for quality architectural renderings.

Our goal with this project was to create digital models that told the story of the Domino Sugar plant, and explain why it is an attractive location for residents, as well as rapid-growth businesses. The attraction to these tech-forward companies substantial, but it the development plan needed an extra push from our modeling team in order to communicate its amenities effectively. The very modern architectural concepts were enhanced by our detail-oriented production team, imagining all of the little details to bring it to life. The expansive views we created effectively described the project’s relationship to the surrounding area, as a centerpiece at the heart of a bustling metropolis.

For current and prospective residents, we highlighted the project’s green, open spaces and busy urban thoroughfares, full of people. We emphasized its ideal location, right next to the riverfront and in the heart of a thriving Brooklyn community. Our 3D renderings made it clear that the development plan would exist harmoniously with the surrounding landscape, adding an exciting new touch to the established area.

As always, we have remained sensitive to the needs of our client, keeping in mind the specific audiences that they are marketing their project to. Often times, this can be a complex challenge, but that is where ZUM3D’s long-term experience in the industry becomes invaluable; we understand where our clients are coming from, and how to address the needs of their project most effectively.
